Texas Ratio

(Updated 8/28/17)

The table below shows all of the Banks that currently have a Texas Ratio at or above 100 based on the 1st Quarter of 2017.  All data comes from the FDIC SDI database (Lines 8, 11, 26, 32, 33) and does not include Loans backed by the Government as they were subtracted out.   Also there are a number of factors that can cause a Bank to have a high Texas Ratio so that doesn't mean the Bank will fail.

As of the 1st Quarter of 2017 "26" Banks had a Texas Ratio of 100 or above while 48 Banks had a Texas Ratio between 50 and 99.   There are now 5787  Banks so less than 1.0% have a Texas Ratio above 100.  However keep in mind back in late 2007 the were nearly 8500 banks so roughly 2713 (32%) have closed in the last 10 years.
