Texas Ratio

(Updated 3/13/23)

The table below shows all of the Banks that currently have a Texas Ratio at or above 100 based on the 4th Quarter of 2022.  All data comes from the FDIC and does not include Loans backed by the Government as they are subtracted out.   Also there are a number of factors that can cause a Bank to have a high Texas Ratio so that doesn't necessarily mean the Bank will fail.

As of the 4th Quarter of 2022 "5" Banks had a Texas Ratio of 100 or above while 8 Banks had a Texas Ratio between 50 and 99.   There are now 4717 Banks so less than 1.0% have a Texas Ratio above 100.  However keep in mind back in late 2007 the were nearly 8500 banks so roughly 3783 (45%) have closed in the last 15 years.
