Outlook for Thursday

(10/15/14)

The market was extremely volatile today as the S&P 500 was down nearly 60 points at one point in the morning before the Buy the Dip crowd showed up in the afternoon which was followed by a 50 point ramp job.

Meanwhile the longer term chart of the S&P 500 shows it got within 20 points of a key support zone around 1800 which coincides with the 400 Day EMA (green line) and upward trend line (purple line) from the October 2011 low.
