Outlook for Thursday

(7/8/15)

The S&P Futures was another circus today as the 40 pints ramp job on Tuesday was followed by a 40 point drop from last night through this afternoon.  This is the 3rd test of the 2035 area since Sunday Evening.

Meanwhile the S&P 500 closed below its 200 Day Moving Average (green line) for the first time since last Fall as the Head and Shoulders pattern appears to be working this time.  The downside target for the H&S pattern is around the 2010 area.

Finally also keep in mind there is a long term upward trend line (purple line) from the 2011 low which comes into play just above the 2000 level as well so the 2010 to 2000 range is a key support area for the S&P 500.
